My New Computer

My new computer is a Dell Inspiron 1525. It works great. The speakers don't work great, but I knew before I bought it that the speakers didn't get great reviews. I didn't get a new computer to listen to music anyway, so it's not a big deal. And yes it is pink. I like pink. So keep your opinions about pink to yourself.

Here is the desk top I have (it came with the comptuer). I love koi!

Rabbit's New Friend

Rabbit got bored the other day because I wouldn't constantly play with him, and he started playing with the dust pan. Then he decided to curl up and take a nap with it. At least he didn't destroy it.
You may notice the right sofa cushion is turned upside down. This is because Rabbit tore the leather top of it. He has since then torn the fabric bottom if it, as well as wrecked at least one other couch cushion. One of my future projects will be making slip-covers for the sofa. That may be a project for the Rabbit Bucket List.

Max

Here is a photo of Max from January when Jo, Nick & Max came to visit. Max is playing "Kung Fu Panda" on the Xbox. Joleen and I went to a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert, which was great. We all went to the SciTech Museum in Aurora, which is a hands-on science museum. Max turned 5 last month!

I'm back

Okay, so if you haven't noticed by now I am not good at keeping this blog current. What can I say - I am lazy. That's what it comes down to.

I will try to be better about it since I got my new computer and have it somewhat figured out. Most of my pictures are still on my old computer (like the rest of my vacation photos) so I'll have to find new things to talk about for now.

Computer Issues

Sorry for the lack of posts lately (I know you're just dying to see more pictures of the Cayman Islands, especially with all the snow and cold weather we're getting!) but I am having computer problems. Hopefully all will be well soon and I'll update the blog. In the meantime, have a very happy and safe holiday season!

Seven Mile Beach

There is a long beach on the west side of Grand Cayman called Seven Mile Beach (although it's actually 5-6 miles or so). Beautiful fine white sand and gorgeous blue water. This is the roughest the water was during my trip. Walks along the beach were a daily activity. It was so relaxing to listen to the waves and soak up the sun.

Island Time

So I came back from California, worked for 3 days, and then left for a vacation in the Cayman Islands! A technician Isla, that used to work at VCA Aurora is going to vet school down there, so the other ER vet here (Dr. Donalyn Sauser) and I planned our vacations to visit Isla, and we were able to overlap our vacations by a few days so we could do stuff together.

Hurricane Palome blew through a day or so after Donalyn arrive, and a day or so before I was due to arrive, which delayed my trip by a day. But no major damage was done.
